This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what your rights are. Last updated: 29 October 2026.

Who we are

This website is run by Activin LLP, trading as Classic Car Hire Kent, Unit 17, Joseph Wilson Industrial Estate, Whitstable, Kent CT5 3PS. Activin LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales, number OC371096, with its registered office at Henwood House, Henwood, Ashford, Kent TN24 8DH. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy by e-mail at info@classiccarhirekent.co.uk or by phone on 01227 772277.

Enquiries you send us

When you use our enquiry form, we collect the details you enter: your name, e-mail address, phone number (if given), the vehicle or service you are interested in, any dates and your message. We use them only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange your hire. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Your enquiry is sent to us by e-mail. A copy is also kept securely in our website’s administration area, in case an e-mail goes astray, and is deleted automatically after 90 days. We never use enquiries for marketing, and we do not sell or share your details.

To protect the form from spam, the website briefly records a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address – from which your address cannot be read back – for up to one hour. No third-party spam service is used.

Hiring a vehicle

When you hire a vehicle, we collect the information described in our Terms of Hire, such as your driving licence details and proof of address, to check that you are eligible, to arrange insurance and to manage the hire. We keep hire records for as long as we need them for insurance, legal and accounting purposes.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. If our staff log in to manage the website, WordPress sets the cookies needed for that. These are not used for visitors.

The maps on our About Us and Contact Us pages are provided by Google and only load if you choose “Show map”. Google may then set cookies and receive information about your visit, as described in Google’s privacy policy. The “Get directions” links open Google Maps in the normal way.

Who processes your information for us

Our website host and our e-mail provider store and transmit information on our behalf, under contracts that require them to keep it secure. We may also share information where the law requires it, or as set out in our Terms of Hire (for example, with our insurers).

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
